Tactical Mount for LITELOK X1

I recently added a bottle cage to my bike which meant that my X1 lock no longer fit inside my frame when using the standard mount (because of the size & shape of my frame).
As luck would have it, this mount was recently released and is a great alternative! The standard mount only grips the lock from the base, which means it would tend to rattle when riding, whereas this lock is much more secure. It also gives a bit more flexibility in where it can be mounted.
Only minor issue I have is that my bike frame is a bit wider than standard (and gets wider towards the handlebars) which means the rubber cushion on the mount doesn't quite sit properly - this hasn't caused me any issues though, just means the mount needed to be secured a bit more tightly.
All in all seems like a great product!

Litelok tactical mount provides a safe and secure home for the X1. A snug fit make sure there is no rattling. The X1 has to be unlocked before it can be removed so no chance of it going missing if you should take eyes of the bike for one minute. I liked the mount which came with the lock but i prefer the horizontal position the tactical mount offers. The mount is easy to fit in 5 or 10 minutes. In my opinion there is nothing to dislike.

My original broke during installation. This one seems much more durable. I hope it lasts and does not break. I have a Orbea Oiz M10. The frame does not have room to mount these U shaped bike locks well (an issue i'd have with any brand). Was hoping this new mount would offer a different mounting style to overcome this, but it didn't. Still glad I bought it though. I'll probably end up mounting to my kids bike or something. I'll figure it out.

Ended up with both mounts- The Tactical (really?) mount is very secure, and pretty easy to find a suitable place on the bike to mount it. It's not as handy as the simple twist mount, but much better thought through. Both rely on the metal grub screw tightening a plastic thread, which feels like its going to pull through after a few months service. Nervous tightening it up, as I've managed to strip the thread on similar mount systems (other manufacturers), without feeling Im overtightening. Time will tell.
The twist mount was a complete disaster (though convenient)- apart from the grub screw system, the rubber shoulders that hold the lock in place slid out after 2 days use. Litelok's suggestion is glue them! There has to be a better way to secure locks! The X1 is a fantastic lock, but the mounts do not match its quality.
